After researching about the project through literature review and then designing the hardware interface. The testing was done mainly through out two applications that can make use of the controllers.

DC-DC Converter

Controlled Rectifier Application

Defining Controlled rectifiers are line commutated ac to dc power converters which are used to convert a fixed voltage, fixed frequency ac power supply into variable dc output voltage. The main aim of this application is the ability to design a larger or a more complex design than the previous one.

a buck DC-DC converter was chosen due to its simplicity in term of construction. This is one of the applications that were designed form scratch unlike some later designs that were taken from the RSCAD samples list to test other functionalities of the testbed.
